Ipsa is a wonderful Labrador Retriever. Unfortunately, she lives in France and I don't see her often. But when I was living over there, we shared great moments. She's in love with tennis balls, like most Retrievers I guess, and won't stop running after one until you give up. And even then, she will still try to convince you that she didn't run enough... One of my favorite things to do with Ipsa is to go for a walk in the forest in the morning. She's very good at going around kid's houses and slides, and jumping over obstacles, etc. But there's nothing she enjoys more than going after her ball!
Buzz Lightyear is a Rhodesian Ridgeback whom we rescued from the Center for Animal Care and Control in June 1997. I cannot understand how such a sweet dog could be abandoned, but oh well, good for us! Rhodesian Ridgebacks are not that well known, and we are often asked: "Hey! Is that a Great Dane?"
Buzz can be a real couch potato, and he likes to sleep late in the morning. But don't be mistaken, he does have to run and play with his buddies to release energy. Thankfully, we live close to the Dog Beach!
As the story goes, Rhodesian Ridgebacks originate from South Africa, where they were bred to hunt lions in packs.
